[ That Mom of Four ] The IDS (Innovative Dermatological Solutions) Journey - First Visit
IDS Skincare, 05 August 2021
I'm a strong believer that consistency is what allows us to see and experience change. This applies very much to exerise, nutrition and of course skincare.
That consistency and diligence to following a programme is key, but the effectiveness of it is also crucial in order for us to see any positive changes and to be able to sustain these changes.
I first visited IDS Clinic over 3 months ago where I had my skin assessed by the Dr. Ian Tan and the clinic assistants. Only then were they able to prescribe a customised set of IDS Skincare products for me to take home.
I visited their outlet at Novena Specialist Center at 8 Sinaran Drive because it's more convenient for me and really like the set up of the clinic too. The first thing I noticed upon entering was that they they have a spacious sitting area and a dispensary where you can collect the prescribed skincare products after having your consultation and skin analysis done.
About IDS Clinic
Opened in 2014, IDS Clinic brings together medical science, technology, artificial intelligence and complementary skincare to tackle skin woes that we commonly face these days.
From Skin to Face, Body and Hair, the clinic offers modern and effective treatments to address the issues with maximum efficacy. In fact, you'll be surprised at how their innovative and effective treatments are not going to burn a hole in your pocket. Despite the high quality services and products, the rates for their solutions are actually reasonable.
If you're wondering how much the treatments cost, you'll still need to get your consultation done first no matter which clinic you visit. Only then will you know which treatment is best suited for you. Sometimes what we want isn't what we really need.
With two outlets located at Novena Specialist Center and International Building, I'd say both locations are actually very convenient to get to. And with 5 doctors on their team, you can be sure that the issue you're facing can be addressed well at the clinic.
Checking the Condition of My Skin
After my registration upon arrival at the clinic, I met with Dr. Ian Tan whose multiple accreditations in the aesthetics field would impress most people including myself. And I was very happy to know that he has a special interest in anti-aging too. This was actually what I knew I wanted but I was keen to hear what he felt I needed.
After speaking with him and getting my skin analysed by the innovative equipment here, we both agreed that my skin is dry and I do have some freckles due to sun damage. So he recommended a range of products for me from their range of IDS Skincare Products and I was to use them for the next month before my second visit.
The skin analysis was done so quickly and efficiently here at the clinic and this allows us to also keep track of the progress when we come in again over time to compare the difference and improvements.
The Skincare Products
I was prescribed a range of products after the skin analysis and my consult with the doctor. Here’s what I was to use for the next month before my second visit.
1. Pore Formula
Formulated with IDS proprietary NEULASTIN transcutaneous delivery system, the active ingredients in this product are delivered effectively into the skin to help refine pores and reduce the appearance of blackheads and whiteheads. I really did notice that these blemishes don’t appear anymore after a month. It’s non-oily and great for those who are concerned about oily and blemish-prone skin
2. C Plus
This Vitamin C Serum also contains Vitamin E and Fullerenes which are Corbin molecules that help to neautralize free radicals and are known to suppress melanin and reduce the production of sebum.
The active ingredients Trosidium Ascorbyl Palmitate Phosphate are really a combination of antioxidant, oil and vitamin C derivative that work to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, lighten the marks from blemishes and create a more even skin tone.
An age-defying super cream which contains ingredients such as zinc and magnesium, Elastin and Sodium Hyaluronate. These ingredients work together to maintain the suppleness and bouncing as of skin and allow our skin to snap back into its youthful shape. It also works to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while increasing the moisture content in our skin.
Providing anti-aging care for sensitive skin, the hyaluronic acid in this formula provides super moisturizing properties while reducing redness and irritation. It also works to stabilize our skin’s immunity and capillary integrity.
By enhancing our skin’s water retention, repair and cell renewal, this moisturizer boosts hydration levels in our skin while soothing dry and irritated skin which which is what I have.
This tinted sunscreen is chemical free and feels ultra lightweight. Love that it has added protection against inferred and blue light and even pollution!
Stay tuned for my next update after I’ve used this product for a month! My next visit to IDS Clinic will also include a facial.
